Connecting Wacom Tablet with Mac OS Big Sur

Hi, this is a quick note to all, who updated Mac OS version and found that your computer stopped detecting graphic tablet. First of all, there is a really helpful and detailed instruction on the official website. Also keep in mind, that it is better to remove previous drivers before installing new ones.

Now, here is an advice that could save you a lot of time: check that device was successfully connected and it indicates that it is wired!)

The second nuance is that step 4 from the official guide tell you to go to the /Applications/Wacom Tablet/.Tablet folder, but if you will go to the /Applications/Wacom Tablet via Finder you may not see the .Tablet directory. To see it just press Cmd + Shift + “.”

Also there are sometimes conflicts of Wacom settings and system settings. Removing the file com.apple.systemprofiler.plist may help you with this issue.

Remember, that all set up should be done in 30 minutes after drivers installation. I think, this is strange, but it is also from Wacom docs)

And the last one: settings of programs like “Clean My Mac” may also conflict with installer settings. It is better to switch them at least while installing and setting up drivers.

Hope this was useful
